Hyderabad: 23 H-CITI works get govt sanction

Hyderabad: The state government accorded administrative sanction to 23 works under Hyderabad City Innovative and Transformative Infrastructure (H-CITI) Project for an amount of Rs 5,942 crore duly superseding the earlier sanction of Rs 4,305 crore.


With the traffic management in the city being a pressing issue and the state government focusing on measures to prevent traffic congestion, the GHMC has taken up a comprehensive traffic study and based on it 23 works were proposed under the H-CITI project.

These 23 infrastructure projects will be taken up in all six GHMC zones. Construction of 1st level one way flyover at NFCL junction ( Khiratabad zone), multi level flyover/grade separators at three junctions – Khajaguda, IIIT and Wipro junction (Serilingampally zone) and construction of four lane steel bridge on pipeline road across Fox Sagar surplus nala
(Kukatpally zone) are some of them.

In addition to these projects, four lane uni-directional flyover at Rasoolpura (Secunderabad zone), six lane bi-directional flyover crossing three junctions- TKR College, Gayathri Nagar and Manda Mallamma ( LB Nagar zone) and construction of two Road under Bridges (RuBs) on either side of
existing RUB near Aramgarh Junction (Charminar zone) will also be taken up.

The works will be taken up in five packages, in addition to these wokrs, road widening works will be executed in all six GHMC zones.
