HYDERABAD: A 26-year-old died after being hit by another biker while taking a U-turn near Srila Park within the KPHB police station limits late on Monday night.
According to the police, the incident came to light after the deceased’s mother, Munnangi Laxmi, a native of Andhra Pradesh, informed the police. The deceased has been identified as Pavan Kumar, 26, the police said.
According to the complainant, she received a phone call informing her of Pavan’s accident. She immediately informed her relative who in turn alerted the police.
“Pavan was working as a private driver in Hyderabad and was residing at a hostel in KPHB. He was taking a U-turn near Srila Park when a speeding vehicle allegedly driven in a rash and negligent manner, hit the victim. The impact of the collision was such that the victim fell from the bike and sustained severe head injuries,” the police said adding that the victim was rushed to a nearby hospital where he died while undergoing treatment.
