Hyderabad: When women were celebrating the auspicious Varalakshmi Vratam, the comments made by BRS working president K.T. Rama Rao against women showed his arrogance and his disrespect for the women, said Dr Shilpa Reddy, president of the state BJP Mahila Morcha.
In a statement, Shilpa Reddy said Rama Rao would know by asking the women members of his family whether his statement on the women were correct. “Poor and middle-class women mostly travel in RTS buses. KTR insulted them due to his arrogance. It has become a practice for KTR to insult women as he is frustrated after losing power,” she lamented.
Shilpa Reddy warned the BRS leader that the BJP Mahila Morcha would not allow him to move out if he failed to tend an open apology to the women at the Telangana Talli statue. The Revanth Reddy government must book a case against KTR and take action against him as per the law, she demanded.
