Hyderabad: Boy Falls Through Elevator Gap, Saved After Two-Hour Rescue Effort
A six-year-old boy got trapped between a lift and floor slab on the third floor of an apartment building at Masab Tank on Thursday, and appeared to be moments away from being crushed.

Hyderabad:A six-year-old boy got trapped between a lift and floor slab on the third floor of an apartment building at Masab Tank on Thursday, and appeared to be moments away from being crushed.
While getting down from the lift, the boy fell through a gap and got trapped in the tight space, more than 20 feet about the ground.
HYDRAA’s Disaster Response Force teams, along with the fire department squad, struggled for two hours and rescued the child.
The boy, a resident of the Maphar Comfortech Apartments in Shanthinagar, Masab Tank, was playing and entered the lift on the fourth floor. When the lift reached the third floor, he opened the grill door of the elevator and tried to exit. In the process, he slipped and fell through the gap between the elevator and the floor slab
HYDRAA stated that they got a call at 2.30 pm about the situation, and DRF teams reached the spot along with fire marshals. They disconnected power supply to the lift and cut its flooring with a gas torch to reach the child. After he was rescued, the child was taken to a hospital for a check up.
