Hyderabad braces for more rain on Saturday
Hyderabad: After heavy rain that inundated most parts of the city on Friday evening, Hyderabad braces for more rains on Saturday.
According to the forecast by the India Meteorological Department-Hyderabad (IMD-H), the city will witness light to moderate rainfall in the coming four days.
The met department had issued a "yellow alert" for Saturday and forecasted that "heavy rain would very likely occur at isolated places in vikarabad, Sangareddy, Mahabubnagar, Nagarkurnool, Wanaparthy, Narayanpet, Jogulamba Gadwal districts of Telangana."
In addition, the IMD-H in its impact based forecast for Hyderabad predicted "Cloudy sky. Light to Moderate Rain or Thundershowers at times intense spells accompanied with gusty winds upto 30-40 kmph very likely on Saturday."
Meanwhile, Hyderabad is witnessing a weather pattern where it is being humid and comparatively hot during the days followed by intermittent rains in the evenings for the last couple of days and might likely be the case in the coming three/four days.
Cumulonimbus clouds that unleashed havoc in Hyderabad on Thursday and Friday evenings made the life of homebound workers miserable bringing the twilight commute to a standstill. Traffic police and NDRF teams have sprung into action as several main roads witnessed long queues of vehicles.
