Hyderabad: The Jubilee Hills police said that they would serve notice to Khairatabad MLA Danam Nagender and unidentified persons for alleged demolition of a compound wall of Buddha Bhavan at Nandagiri Hills in Jubilee Hills after an investigation.
On August 10, the Jubilee Hills police registered cases against Nagender and others after they received a complaint from V. Papaiah, enforcement in-charge of Buddha Bhavan, in which he stated that some unidentified persons had demolished a compound wall at Nandagiri Hills, which is a GHMC property.
During the investigation, the Jubilee Hills police learnt that unidentified persons from the adjoining Guru Brahmanagar had illegally trespassed and demolished the compound wall in the presence of the Khairatabad MLA, who also provoked them, including Gopal Naik and Ramchander.
“In view of this, we have booked cases against the MLA and others and appropriate charges will be framed against alleged persons. These activities have caused financial damage to the government costing around Rs 10 lakh, a police officer said.
Jubilee Hills sub-inspector B. Harishwar Reddy registered a case under the Prevention of Damage to Public Property Act (PDPP), unlawful assembly, entering into or upon property in the possession of another with intent to commit an offence or to intimidate and entrusted the case to to K. Govardhan Reddy, sub inspector of Jubilee Hills for further investigation.
“Action will be taken as per law, including the issue of notice under CrPC Section 41 will be issued to the MLA and others after the investigation is completed,” said the Jubilee Hills inspector.
