Hyderabad: Former president of BJP SC Morcha Koppu Basha on Monday urged Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy to implement the poll promise of giving Rs 12 lakh in assistance to every Dalit family under the Dr Ambedkar Abhaya Hastham scheme.
He criticised the inordinate delay in implementing the promises mentioned by Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge in the SC, ST Declaration, announced in Chevella in August last year.
Basha said the Congress came to power by making a number of promises to the SC and ST communities. However, the Congress government ignored them and cheated the people.
He asked the Congress government to increase the SC reservation to 18 per cent and give full rights to them on assigned lands under their possession.
He also asked the government to release the subsidy amount on the pending loans from the SC Corporation.
