Hyderabad: Couple held for gold theft at Maple Town villas
Hyderabad: The Rajendranagar police arrested a couple for allegedly committing a series of thefts on Wednesday.
According to Rajendranagar DI P Naveen Kumar, the accused have been identified as Namin and Bharati. The two were working as house helps for Kondal Reddy who was residing in one of the villas at the Maple Town Villa. Around 12 tolas of gold were recovered from their possession.
The couple reportedly committed a series of thefts at the house in the absence of the owner. “Kondal Reddy's in-laws lived with him, but they are old. Taking advantage of this, they used to commit thefts. After it came to our notice, we registered a case and apprehended them at Secunderabad Railway station,” the DI said.
