Hyderabad Cycling Revolution Hosts Heritage Ride by Musi River

Hyderabad: The Hyderabad Cycling Revolution held a heritage trip around Osmania General Hospital on Saturday, as part of their Musi river community engagement series, aimed to spread awareness about the river and its significance.

Held in collaboration with the GHMC and under the guidance of corporation commissioner Amrapali Kata, the event saw around 250 people gathered near the 100-year-old tamarind tree which saved the lives of 150 people during the 1908 floods in the Musi.

Mohammed Haseeb, a heritage enthusiast, briefed the participants about the heritage and significance of the Musi and the tree.

"Students were delighted to listen to its significance. With the government project for Musi river rejuvenation in progress, we take the responsibility to bring awareness and campaign about the Musi," said Ravi, founder of Hyderabad Cycling Revolution. The Musi river community engagement series will continue on the first Saturday of every month.
