Hyderabad: The trend for paying hefty amounts for fancy number plates is growing and it's visible in recent years.
In an online auction, a fancy vehicle registration number was sold at a whooping price of Rs 25.5 lakh. The auction was held by the Khairatabad RTO in Hyderabad.
Registration number plate "TG 09 9999" was acquired by Sony Transport solution at Rs 25.5 lakh. The fancy number plate will be used for the Toyota Land Cruiser vehicle.
The Khairabad RTO fetched revenue of RS 43.7 lakh in single day of auctioning.
