Hyderabad: Food Inspectors Detect Several Lapses in Masala, Pickle Units

Hyderabad: The teams had also inspected D-Mart at Vanasthalipuram and Balaji Mart Enterprises at Turkayamjal on Friday. At D-Mart, the FSSAI license number displayed on Nutriwala brand food items such as sprouts, baby corn and mushroom was found to be inactive and expired. D-Mart employees immediately removed and discarded such items on the spot. The supermarket had a true license copy displayed at the premises and five FoSTaC trained supervisors were present at the premises. SR Foods Vendor was found to be supplying Soya Paneer with incorrect licence. Damaged and expired goods were properly segregated and kept separately in designated area as per rules.

At Balaji Mart, the medical fitness certificates and pest control records were not available. The packed food articles like Ragi Flour (5 kg), Idly Rawa (208 kg), Urad Gota (150 kg) and Moong Dal (52 kg) were seized for not having proper labels on them.
