Hyderabad: Israeli tech for Musi rejuvenation, says Sridhar Babu

Hyderabad: IT and industries minister Dudilla Sridhar Babu commended Israel for its willingness to provide technical expertise for the Musi River rejuvenation project. He conveyed his gratitude to Israeli Ambassador Reuven Azar during a meeting at the Secretariat on Friday.

Recognising Israel's global leadership in artificial intelligence (AI) and cyber security, Sridhar Babu urged collaboration in these domains to benefit Telangana. He also sought Israel's support in defense, agriculture, water management, advanced technologies and industrial development. Ambassador Reuven Azar responded positively to the minister’s requests.

Highlighting ongoing initiatives, Sridhar Babu informed the ambassador about the establishment of an AI City spanning 200 acres. He requested Israel's assistance in providing advanced training for trainers in AI and cyber security. Additionally, he sought expertise in wastewater reuse.

He said that Young India Skills University was equipped to supply skilled human resources for any industries that Israel would like to establish in Telangana. He also urged Israeli start-ups to share technology and expertise in the defense and aerospace sectors.

Ambassador Azar proposed collaboration between the two countries in infrastructure development, a suggestion the minister warmly welcomed. Further, the ambassador extended an invitation to Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy and minister Sridhar Babu visit Israel. The meeting was attended by Ken Uday Kumar, president of the Indo-Israel Chamber of Commerce, Dr Radhakrishna, director, Ajit Reddy, CM’s special secretary and Sai Krishna, the government IT adviser.
