Hyderabad: KTR criticises demolitions, demands housing for poor
Hyderabad: BRS working president K.T. Rama Rao took exception to what he said was the demolition of houses of the poor and sought a humane approach to the issue of encroachment of lake land. He claimed 40,000 double bedroom houses were available for allocation to the poor in Hyderabad.
“I request to kindly ensure all these are allotted immediately so we don’t have to witness such painful images,” he said in a post on his X handle and tagged Chief Secretary A. Santhi Kumari.
In another post he took exception to what he called disrespect for TPCC president Mahesh Kumar Goud and Deputy Chief Minister Bhatti Vikramarka. He said that the government had not come out with a BC Declaration, SC Declaration and not implemented the “numerous desperate promises that were made to come to power.” What the Congress government lacked was basic respect for fellow human beings, Rama Rao claimed.
