Hyderabad: Link Road along Musi to Be Ready by August.
Hyderabad: A link road along the Musi river connecting Amberpet with Uppal as well as to Ramanthapur is likely to be made available to people by August.
This road starts near Ali Café in Amberpet and the distance from Amberpet to Uppal that is presently around 8 km will be reduced to 3.5 km.
This new road is being developed by Hyderabad Road Development Corporation (HRDCL) and GHMC
While the HRDCL will develop one km of the new thre-lane road, another two-km, two-lane stretch is being widened by the projects wing of the GHMC. “Only 0.5 km of road widening is left and utility shifting is underway,” said a GHMC official.
Once inaugurated, the road will reduce the distance for thousands of road users travelling from the Moosarambagh-Malakpet side towards Uppal and Ramanthapur and areas on the other side.
“At present, we use the main road to reach Uppal from Amberpet crossing Sri Ramana Theatre which is crowded most of the time and traffic snarls at the multiple junctions are a common sight. The new road will make the commute hassle-free besides saving time,” said K. Arvind Rao, who stays near the Moosarambagh RTO office.
