The arrested accused Waseem a resident of Darushifa along with 524 liters of duplicate oil, 13 tins each tin containing 26 litters of duplicate HP brand and 14 liters of duplicate HP brand has been handed over to Afzalgunj police and later produced before the court for judicial remand, a press release issued by DCP task force stated.
Hyderabad: The sleuths of the commissioner's task force, central zone team on Tuesday raided G.S Sons Petro products sales establishment in Afzalgunj arrested a man for selling duplicate hydraulic engine oil and seized 434 liters of contraband worth Rs 45,000.
The task force later seized the establishment after arresting Waseem Khan who was trying to sell duplicate engine oil under the brand name of “HP” Company.
The accused Waseem (31) was arrested red handed while he was filling duplicate oil into the plastic tins and affixing the duplicate stickers under the brand name of HP ENKLO’ 46 violating CopyRight Act, Y V S Sudheendra, DCP task force said.
Waseem during interrogation revealed that he used to to sell the duplicate oil affixing the stickers of branded company making it look as original to gain illegal profits, Sudheendra said.
Waseem also revealed that he procured duplicate engine oil through an agent from Mumbai packing with stickers of branded HP ENKLO 46 and selling to the customers.
