Hyderabad: Nigerian Woman Held for Peddling Cocaine

Hyderabad: A 30-year-old Nigerian woman was arrested in Sun City here on Sunday for peddling banned drugs. A special crime team of Rajendranagar Police seized 50 gm of MDMA and 25 gm of cocaine from her.

The accused was identified as Tamba Fidelma, alias Onyenwuowa Lovech. Her husband Cyril Uchechi Nwalioba, alias Nwanta Anayoeze, is also a co-accused but is at large.

Fidelma is a resident of Second Cross, Chikka Bansawadi, Bengaluru. She is a native of Agbor Obi, Delta State, Nigeria.

The police team got information that a Nigerian woman aged about 25 years to 30 years was supposed to reach out to customers with MDMA and cocaine in Sun City. Based on the information, the police party reached the location at 6.40 pm on Saturday and took the woman into custody.

During investigation, the accused said she and her husband recently came in contact with a Nigerian drug supplier named Ikem, alias Mighty God, in Bengaluru.

The Nigerian couple purchased MDMA and cocaine from Ikem in Bengaluru. Fidelma revealed before police that she also came in contact with another drug supplier, Divine Ebuka Suzee, alias Lebuka, who resides in Delhi.

Ebuka used to supply drugs to known consumers and peddlers. Fidelma and her husband also purchased drugs from Ebuka and Fidelma and was planning to sell the same to the customers when arrested, police said.

"We have seized 50 gm of MDMA and 25 gm of cocaine worth more than `6 lakh from the accused along with the accused's passport, two mobile phones and booked cases under the NDPS Act and produced before the court and remanded into judicial custody," Rajendranagar police inspector Castro said.

The other accused persons Ikem, Cyril Uchechi Nwalioba, Divine Ebuka Suzee and Ezeonyili Franklin Uchenna are still at large.

A case against the accused was registered under the NDPS Act and the Foreigners Act. Special teams have been formed to arrest the other drug peddlers.
