Hyderabad: One Injured in Fight Over Clothes Drying Space
Hyderabad: One Suresh allegedly stabbed his neighbour Shankar in the neck, the LB Nagar police said on Saturday. There were different versions as to how the incident occurred.
LB Nagar circle inspector L. Ramanjaneyulu said the stabbing occurred when Hanumanthu, a neighbour, entered the house of one Kalamma's house along with a few men. She called for her brother Suresh, who went to the place and a fight broke out between him and the intruder.
Suresh and Hanumanthu both called their friends. Shankar responded to Hanumanthu’s call. Suresh threw a knife towards Hanumanthu, but it hit Shankar, Ramanjaneyulu said. Shankar was taken to a hospital.
In view of Hanumanthu entering the house of Kalamma, a case of outrage of modesty was also booked, the police official said. Hanumanthu and Suresh have been taken into police custody.
A video of Shankar’s sister Gujji explaining what happened at that point also surfaced on social media.
According to reports, however, the sisters of Suresh and Shankar, Kalamma and Gujji, started arguing over space for drying clothes. When it got heated up, Gujji’s brother Shankar called Kalamma’s brother Suresh and they began quarrelling. Suresh took out a knife stabbed Shankar in the neck. Shankar was taken to the Gandhi Hospital. A video of his condition was uploaded on social media.
