Hyderabad, other districts under IMD yellow alert
Indian Meteorological Department has issued a yellow alert for Monday

Hyderabad: Brief showers on Sunday evening offered temporary relief from the heat, while several districts experienced thunderstorms and strong winds. The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a yellow alert for Monday, warning of moderate-intensity thunderstorms and wind speeds of 30-40 kmph in multiple districts.
The unseasonal rains are expected to continue until Tuesday when the maximum temperature is expected to rise by up to 3º Celsius.
According to Telangana State Development Planning Society (TSDPS) data, Bela in Adilabad and Laxmidevipalli in Bhadradri Kothagudem recorded the highest rainfall of 38.8 mm. Sujathanagar in Bhadradri Kothagudem saw 38.7 mm, while parts of Adilabad, including Jainad and Mavala, received heavy rain. Showers were also reported in Nalgonda, Nizamabad, Nagarkurnool and Mahbubnagar, accompanied by gusty winds and isolated hailstorms.
The IMD listed Hyderabad, Rangareddy, Medchal-Malkajgiri, Vikarabad, Mahabubnagar, Warangal, Karimnagar, Khammam, Siddipet, and several other districts under its yellow alert for Monday. However, the rain spell is expected to end by early next week, with temperatures gradually rising and summer conditions taking over.
