Hyderabad: In his tweet, a netizen pointed out how one of the cybercriminals, who was earlier arrested by the police and released on bail, got back to his old life and restarted his cyber fraud once again. The netizen named Vinay posted a screenshot of a recording of an accused named Sirigidi Praveen, who was luring the people to invest.
Praveen was arrested in March 2023 from Kerela in connection with his habitual cyber crime in the name of investments. However, he was later released on bail and reportedly restarted his past activities. When Vinay tweeted, Rachakonda police responded and asked him to furnish further details.
IT Cell ACP Narender said the tweet came to their notice and they were analysing the data. “We are yet to get the clarity if the account handler himself was a victim or he came across any other victim. Vinay did not respond so far. Meanwhile, we are looking for the whereabouts of the accused. And when there is a clarity on the incident, a case will be registered with the cybercrime police and they will take up the investigation,” he said.
