Hyderabad police detect two major cases, 3 held
Police recover stolen gold, diamond and silver ornaments

Hyderabad: The Hyderabad police on Thursday arrested notorious criminals hailing from Bihar for their alleged involvement in murder for gain in January 2024 at Domalguda and killed an elderly woman and escaped with booty of Rs.1 crore.
The offenders committed a burglary in the intervening night of February 10 and 11 in Narayanguda and stole diamond, gold, silver, cash and foreign currency of different countries all worth about more than Rs.2 crore.
The accused Susheel Mukhiya, 29, a cook and native of Madhubani in Bihar while Basanthi Arhi, 40, a maid servant was from West Bengal. The prime accused Molhu Mukhiya alias Manoj Mukhiya was from Bihar.
Explaining the modus operandi of the arrested persons, Hyderabad Police Commissioner CV Anand told media persons here on Thursday that the offenders would first select the houses of rich people especially Marwadi and Jain community and join as maid servants, cook and security guards.
After gaining confidence by the house owner, they would plan and execute thefts. They won’t hesitate to kill the owners if they resist and escape with the booty to their native villages. Molhu Mukhiya was absconding after killing a woman in Domalguda in January 2024, along with another associate Mahesh, who works as cook in the house of woman, and Rahul of Madhuban, Bihar.
The stolen property worth Rs.1 crore was yet to be recovered in the case. Molhu Mukhiya was also involved in property offences in Delhi and went to jail and Non-Bailable Warrants (NBWs) were pending against him.
On Wednesday, a case was registered based on a complaint of Abhay Kedia, who is an employee of Rohit Kedia. Kedia said that his master Rohit Kedia and his family members went to Dubai to celebrate his daughter’s wedding ceremony.
In his absence, on the interviewing night of February 10 and 11, some unknown offenders gained entry into the house in Narayanguda and ransacked the almirahs, lockers and stole diamond, gold, silver, net cash of Rs.20 lakh and other foreign currency all worth Rs.2 crore.
The Narayanguda police booked a case and took up investigation. The police examined the footage of CCTV Cameras and nabbed three offenders at Nampally railway station on Thursday when they were about to escape from the railway station by boarding a train to Delhi as per their plan.
The offenders were thoroughly interrogated and recovered 710 carats of diamond jewellery, 1.420 kg of gold jewellery, Rs.19.63 lakh in cash, 24 countries of foreign currency and 215 grams of silver. The current value of the recovered property was worth about Rs.3 crore.
