Hyderabad: Electric automobiles were loaded on to new modified goods rakes from the Balanagar shed on Thursday, bound for Bijwasan station in Delhi, 1,770 km away. The cargo generated Rs.17.5 lakh for the railways, according to a statement on Saturday. These rakes — a line of bogies —are specifically designed for transporting vehicles. The vehicles were manufactured at Rajpur of Jadcherla.
SCR general manager Arun Kumar Jain lauded the Hyderabad division for its sustained efforts to enhance freight loading. He noted the division's focus on attracting new freight streams and strengthening existing ones. Senior officials, including divisional railway manager Lokesh Vishnoi, senior divisional commercial manager Anirudh Pamar Z., and senior divisional operations manager V. Vidyadhar oversaw the loading process.
