Hyderabad Sees Week-Long Rainfall
Hyderabad:Scattered rainfall for the seventh consecutive day resulted in waterlogged streets and significant traffic delays across the city. Intense rain affected surrounding areas. The IMD has indicated that Hyderabad will see consistent rainfall throughout the week.
According to popular weather blogger Balaji T, Hyderabad will witness a two-day break from the rains on September 27 and 28. However, he cautioned that high humidity and thunderstorms are expected to resume from September 29, impacting various parts of Telangana.
The IMD has issued a yellow alert for several districts in Telangana, warning of heavy rain accompanied by thunderstorms and lightning. The districts under the alert include Vikarabad, Sangareddy, Medak, Hanamkonda, Mahabubabad, Khammam, Bhadrachalam, Kamareddy, Nirmal, Jagtial, Bhupalpally, Bhadradri Kothagudem, Adilabad, Nizamabad, and Karimnagar. These areas are likely to experience isolated spells of heavy rain, lightning, and gusty winds of 30-40 km/h on Friday.
In Hyderabad, the highest rainfall in Thursday was recorded in Kukatpally at 73.5. Across the state, Bhadradri Kothagudem recorded the highest rainfall at 96.8 mm.
