Hyderabad: Slab Elevation Collapses, No Casualties Reported
Hyderabad: The slab elevation of an under-construction building in Puppalguda collapsed in Alkapur Road 14 on Saturday. The slab reportedly collapsed while it was being poured. There were no casualties.
Since the collapsed slab ended up near high tension wires, it had created additional hazard due to which authorities have closed the road on both sides as a safety measure till the debris was removed.
Narsingi inspector G. Hari Krishna Reddy told Deccan Chronicle, “Luckily, all the workers had gone for lunch. The fault lay in the attaching of the slab. However, further probe is underway to ascertain the actual cause of the incident. A case has been registered under IPC Section 336 against Ram Reddy Constructions, the construction company, and builder Ram Reddy.”
