Hyderabad: Chinta Snigdha, a 20-year-old Patancheru resident, who was pursuing her MBBS in the Philippines, was found dead on her birthday under suspicious circumstances in the country. She was a third year at the University of Perpetual Help System, and was found dead in her hostel room on Friday.
According to Snigdha’s father Chinta Amrut Rao, who is a Trasnco divisional engineer of Medak district, at 11.30 local time, her friends went to Snigdha’s room to celebrate her birthday. When she did not respond, they broke open the door and found her unconscious.
“They performed CPR and took her to the hospital, but the doctors declared her dead,” Amrut Rao said while speaking to the media. He said she went to Manila to pursue her MBBS in 2021, and they used to speak on calls everyday. He requested the Indian government and the Philippines government to repatriate her body to Patancheru for her final rites.
