Hyderabad: Trimulgherry and Karkhana police arrested three persons, including a minor, for 12 thefts recently. Two of the arrested, Junior Rajender Singh and Banda Singh, had a history of breaking open shutters and robbing shops, north zone DC Sadhana Rashmi Perumal said.
The accused usually travel to Hyderabad by RTC buses and would then steal bikes to use in the commission of offence, Perumal said. In the latest case, they had stolen a bike from the Gandhi Hospital parking lot.
22-year-old dies by suicide
Hyderabad: Mohammed Neha, a 22-year-old died by suicide at her house in Chaitanyapuri, police said on Sunday. Her father Mohammed Moin and mother Lavanya had gone to work and her brother was away at college when the incident occurred on Saturday. Police who were investigating the case said she feared that she would not get through her exam.
Viewers exit theatre after false fire alarm
Hyderabad: A false fire alarm led to viewers exiting a theatre at a mall in Kondapur on Saturday night. The alarm rang during a screening at around 8.30 pm. Sources said staff members checked the premises, found there was no fire and sounded the all-clear. Normalcy returned soon after. Madhapur police said no complaint lodged with them.
