Hyderabad: Traffic advisory for International Kite and Sweet Festival

Traffic Diversions:

1. Traffic coming from Rotary ‘X’ Road intending to go towards SBH will be diverted at YMCA towards Clock Tower.
2. Traffic coming from Rasoolpura intending to go towards Plaza will be diverted at CTO ‘X’ roads towards Balamrai.
3. Traffic coming from Picket intending to go towards SBH and Tivoli will be diverted at Sweekar Upakar towards YMCA.
4. Traffic coming from NCC intending to go towards Plaza will be diverted at Tivoli towards Brookbond.

Note: Parade Ground Gate No. 01 and East Gate will be allocated for general public entry.

Junctions to Avoid (13th January 2025 to 15th January 2025):
The general public is advised to avoid the roads around Begumpet, Secunderabad Parade Grounds, and the surrounding areas due to expected traffic congestion. Additionally, the road between Tivoli ‘X’ roads and Plaza ‘X’ roads will be closed.

Congestion is expected at the following junctions:

2. Sangeeth ‘X’ roads
3. YMCA ‘X’ roads
4. Patny ‘X’ roads
5. SBH ‘X’ roads
6. Plaza
7. CTO Junction
8. Brookbond Junction
9. Tivoli Junction
10. Sweekar Upakar Junction
11. Secunderabad Club
12. Tadbund ‘X’ roads
13. Centre Point
14. Diamond Point
15. Bowenpally ‘X’ roads
16. Rasoolpura
17. Begumpet
18. Paradise

The public is also requested to avoid R.P. Road and S.D. Road during the event.

Travel Advisory for Passengers: General passengers intending to travel by evening trains from Secunderabad Railway Station or by RTC buses through Jubilee Bus Station are advised to start early to ensure timely arrival at the stations. Additionally, passengers are encouraged to use the Metro Rail service.

Parking Arrangements: Parking facilities for vehicles attending the International Kite and Sweet Festival will be available at the following locations:

1. Inside Parade Ground East Gate Parking
2. Inside Parade Ground West Gate Parking (VIP Parking)
3. Cantonment Playground
4. Gymkhana Ground
5. Bison Polo Ground

All citizens are requested to take note of the diversions, use alternate routes, and cooperate with the Hyderabad Traffic Police to ensure smooth traffic flow during the event.
