Hyderabad: The National Testing Agency (NTA) has postponed the University Grants Commission – National Eligibility Test (UGC-NET) scheduled on January 15, on account of Pongal and Makar Sankranti falling on that date.
In its official statement, the NTA said the decision was made to accommodate the concerns of candidates. The examination's revised date will be announced soon. However, the tests scheduled for January 16 will proceed as planned.
The UGC-NET exams are being conducted from January 3 for 85 subjects. These assessments are crucial for candidates aspiring for junior research fellowships, assistant professorships, or admission to PhD programmes.
Candidates are advised to check the NTA website for updates regarding the new schedule.
