Hyderabad will emerge as wonderful city, says Revanth

Hyderabad: A delegation led by Cushman and Wakefield Asia Pacific CEO Matthew Bouw called on Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy at the Secretariat on Tuesday. IT and industries minister D Sridhar Babu and officials participated in the meeting.

The delegation and Revanth Reddy discussed the fast development of Hyderabad as a global city and the expansion of other sectors. The Cushman and Wakefield delegation shared the details of their study including the rapid growth of Hyderabad City in the country.

The study disclosed the details of significant growth registered in Hyderabad in leasing, office space, construction and residential space along with realty in the last six months.

The delegation informed the Chief Minister that a report on the development of metro cities in the country will be released by July-end. The company has been releasing a report on the development of cities every six months.

Revanth Reddy said that Hyderabad will emerge as a wonderful city by taking up the Musi Riverfront development project, Regional Ring Road ( RRR) and the expansion of Metro Rail.

The Chief Minister said that the state government is not confined to competing Hyderabad with other cities in the country but also making all efforts to promote the city of Hyderabad as one among the best cities in the world.

Revanth Reddy opined that the number of people staying in America from Telangana and the number of people returning from the US are increasing. Hence, Hyderabad should be developed on par with New York City, Revanth Reddy said.

Lockheed Martin India director (aeronautics) Michael Fernandez, meanwhile, met the Chief Minister at the Secretariat on Tuesday.

They discussed nurturing and expanding collaborations with local industry to support the evolution of indigenous defence manufacturing ecosystems, and further advance I industrial capabilities. These range from transport, maritime and fighter aircraft, to shipborne air and missile defence projects, as well as capabilities in civil sectors including new and renewable energy.
