Hyderabad: HYDRAA commissioner A. V. Ranganath visited Pedda Cheruvu in Kuntloor village of Abdullapurmet mandal in Pedda Amberpet municipality on Wednesday to address complaints from locals regarding encroachments of the lake's buffer zone and the construction of a road.
During his visit, the commissioner interacted with the landowners and listened to their concerns. He assured them that a survey would be conducted, and appropriate procedures would be followed based on its findings.
"According to the 185 survey number, a road can be constructed and preliminary notification has been issued to construct a road from the edge of the lake," he said. He also visited Himayatsagar near Anand Convention, after locals raised concerns about debris being dumped into the lake at night. He assured strict action against the violators and efforts to restore the lake to its original state.
