HYDRAA Prajavani receives 64 complaints

Commissioner A.V. Ranganath directed officials to prioritise complaints about illegal constructions that obstruct roads

Hyderabad: The Prajavani programme held at HYDRAA office, here on Monday, received 64 complaints, most of which were on unauthorised constructions and encroachments of public and private properties.

Several complaints were about colony residents building boundary walls restricting movement and encroachment of stormwater drains, leading to waterlogging. Commissioner A.V. Ranganath directed officials to prioritise complaints about illegal constructions that obstruct roads.

He instructed them to inspect the documents, check if permissions were granted to structures and remove unauthorised structures immediately.

A complainant from Ghatkesar in Medchal-Malkajgiri district alleged that a park area in the Bhagyanagar Nandanavanam Layout had been encroached in Kachavani Singaram village.

Although the HMDA did not approve the layout, the complainant alleged that Divya Nagar Plot Owners Welfare Association sold plots, including the park area, all without any permission.

Another complainant from Jubilee Hills alleged that land designated under Rock Gardens Layout was being used for commercial purposes under the Film Nagar Cultural Club by unauthorised persons.

Officials were instructed by Ranganath to verify complaints using Google Maps and Survey of India maps, and take immediate action.
