HYDRAA reclaims park land
Hyderabad:Residents of Sri Venkateshwara Colony in Badangpet municipality expressed relief and joy after the Hyderabad Disaster Response and Asset Protection Agency (HYDRAA) reclaimed their park from encroachment. Officials confirmed the land as designated park space after inspecting local layouts and swiftly demolished a container illegally set up by an individual claiming ownership of the area.
The encroacher had removed children’s play equipment but attempted to convert the park into private property. HYDRAA’s intervention restored the space to the community, bringing an end to weeks of frustration among residents.
In an unusual celebration, the colony residents poured milk on the banner of HYDRAA commissioner A. V. Ranganath to express gratitude for the swift action. The restored park is now available for recreational activities, particularly benefiting children in the neighbourhood. In a note, authorities reiterated their commitment to protecting public spaces and warned against future encroachments.
