Chiru’s songs have always been chartbusters. Some of his iconic dance numbers include songs from—Indra, Gharana Moghudu, Khaidi No. 786, Muta Mesthri, Shankar Dada and Choodalani Undi among others. No wonder then, the actor has now created a place for himself in the prestigious Guiness Book of World Records, which has recognised him as the most prolific film star in India—actor/dancer.

The adjudicator of Guinness World Records, Richard Stenning, who came from London, said, “This is a fantastic achievement and makes Mr. Chiranjeevi officially amazing. He is officially the most prolific film star in Indian film history as an actor and dancer.”

The recognition comes on the 45th anniversary of his debut, marking an extraordinary journey that has captivated audiences with his incredible dance moves. In a grand ceremony, the Megastar of Indian cinema was honoured by none other than Bollywood actor Aamir Khan.

Addressing mega fans, Aamir Khan, who was the guest of honour said, “Please count me amongst you. I am a huge fan too and Chiranjeevi Garu is like my elder brother. When you watch any of his songs, it's evident that his whole heart is in it and he is enjoying himself. So our eyes refuse to move from him because he is having such a great time and we are also infected with that and that’s such a unique quality.”

The event saw producers, directors, Chiru’s family members among others in attendance. However, the hoots and whistles came from who the actor referred to as his ‘blood sisters’ and ‘blood brothers’ (fans), the donors. The actor thanked them wholeheartedly for their contribution towards saving lives through his blood bank.

Megastar Chiranjeevi said, “As a child, I would dance to Telugu songs on the radio to entertain people around me. The hobby continued through school and my NCC camp days. Dance became an integral part of me.”

What started as a passion and hobby soon became a plus for the actor. Dance gave Chiranjeevi an edge with distributors wanting to cast him in movies to make him dance. “I soon realised that there is a special audience for songs and dance in movies. My dance has brought me so much love and adulation and finally this unexpected Guinness World Record. I am grateful to my directors, producers, co-stars from the bottom of my heart,” said the actor.

Telangana Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy congratulated the senior Tollywood actor on his achievement. In a post on X, CM stated that it was a proud moment for all the Telugus.
