ICRISAT DG meets CM Revanth Reddy at Secretariat
Hyderabad: International Crops Research Institute for the Semi-Arid Tropics (ICRISAT) Director-General Dr. Jacqueline d’Arros Hughes met the Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy at his chambers in the Secretariat here on Thursday.
While interacting with her, he asked ICRISAT to conduct research on new crop varieties that can yield higher productivity and profit to farmers.
He wanted the research institute to focus more on the research, which would contribute to the development of the agricultural sector in Telangana. Dr. Hughes requested Revanth Reddy to visit ICRISAT, to which he agreed and said he would definitely visit soon.
Later, AP, Telangana and Karnataka UNICEF field office chief, Dr. Zelalem B. Taffesse met Revanth Reddy. Earlier, Revanth Reddy unveiled Telangana Sports Authority logo in the presence of Revenue Minister Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy and others.
