IITH, ASM Fete Beginning of Initiatives
Hyderabad:The Indian Institute of Technology Hyderabad (IITH), in collaboration with the American Society for Metals (ASM), Hyderabad chapter and the Materials
Advantage chapter, celebrated the inauguration of initiatives on Wednesday .The event marked fostering collaboration and innovation within the material science community.
The ASM Hyderabad chapter aims to introduce students to advancements in material science and engineering technologies, foster collaborations between academia and industry and provide financial support through fellowships and grants.
"Joining of 75 professional members and 65 student members in the ASM family marks a milestone in strengthening our presence in the region," chief guest Dr Navin Manjooran said.
Prof. B. S. Murty, director of IIT Hyderabad, spoke about the value of being associated with the ASM during the inauguration of the ASM Hyderabad chapter. He said, "Connecting with professional associations is essential to amplify the power of collaboration. At IITH, nearly 50 per cent of our projects are the result of collaborative efforts."
