I.N.D.I.A Parties Protecting Criminals: BJP Spokesperson Pradeep Bhandari
Hyderabad: BJP national spokesperson Pradeep Bhandari condemned the deteriorating law and order condition and poor safety of women in Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee-ruled West Bengal. He also wondered why the Congress and Opposition parties of ‘I.N.D.I alliance’ were maintaining silence over these issues.
Addressing a press conference at the BJP state office here, Bhandari said the West Bengal government had acted negligently and delayed the handing over of the case to the CBI, resulting in the manipulation of key evidence in case of rape and murder of a doctor. "The criminals are openly roaming the streets due to the failure of Mamata’s government. The Calcutta High Court took serious note of the incident,” he said.
According to Bhandari, the Opposition parties had become centres of corruption and crime. " Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav supported the rapist Moid Khan and Mamata Banerjee is supporting the goons and rapists. We want Mamata to resign to maintain law and order," Bhandari demanded.
Bhandari also charged that neither the Revanth Reddy government nor the BRS leaders had condemned the rape and murder of the woman doctor in Kolkata. The BRS had not given any representation to women in its first Cabinet. The Congress government gave a marginal representation to women in the Cabinet, he said.
