Invest in Telangana and Reap Maximum Returns, Revanth Tells NRIs

Seeks support to achieve a prosperous Telangana and a world-class Hyderabad

Hyderabad: Buoyed by an overwhelming reception accorded to him by non-resident Indians (NRIs) and members of the Indian diaspora in New Jersey on Sunday, Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy extended an invitation to them to invest in Telangana, assuring them that the government would position each NRI as a brand ambassador of the state.

The event, marked by enthusiasm and optimism, saw the Chief Minister lay out his vision for a prosperous Telangana and a world-class Hyderabad.

"It is your land and your country. I promise you lucrative returns for your investments in Telangana. The satisfaction of partnering in the journey ahead will be an added bonus," Reddy, who is currently on a 10-day visit to the US to attract investments to Telangana, declared to a cheering crowd.

Reflecting on his previous visit to the US as the TPCC president in 2023, he remarked, "I had promised you that I would return only after a Congress government comes to power in Telangana, while effectively ending a decade of misrule and betrayals. I have kept my promise and I am here."

Detailing the promises fulfilled, he addressed concerns about balanced governance and said that the government was focusing on rapid, sustainable and future-oriented economic growth.

"We will pursue growth through matchless investor-friendly policies, augmented revenues, and high job creation across varied skill levels," he said.

The Chief Minister's message was clear: "We have made it a habit to defy naysayers. First, they said Congress wouldn't come to power. Then they doubted our longevity. Now, they insinuate that growth may be slow. We will prove them wrong again. We will compete to develop Hyderabad, not just as a top city in India, but the world."

Highlighting the role of the diaspora, he stated, "You have made America stronger and more prosperous with your skills. Now come to Telangana. The three-ring state offers distinct metro, semi-urban and rural ecosystems to invest and reap the benefits."

Reddy unveiled plans for the ‘Future City’, set to join Hyderabad, Secunderabad, and Cyberabad as the fourth city. “It will house every conceivable facility and amenity. All it needs is you," he urged.

The Chief Minister also spoke about Telangana's robust industries in software, pharma, vaccines and healthcare, and its ambitions to build strong competencies in future tech, including artificial intelligence (AI). He said that his government's goal was to create a preferred manufacturing alternative to China, aligning with the global ‘China Plus One’ strategy.

The event featured a cultural showcase, with children rendering songs and dances that revolved around Telangana's rich heritage and culture.

Overseas Congress, USA, president Mohinder Singh Gilzian, welcomed the Chief Minister and expressed his wish to see Rahul Gandhi as Prime Minister.

"Our wish to see you as Chief Minister has come true. Now, we all have to work hard to make Rahul Gandhi the country’s Prime Minister," he said.
