ITDA, collectors focus on SSC students to boost pass percentage

Gupta has been conducting on-site inspections of tribal ashram schools, overseeing slip tests, subject revisions, and supervision classes

ADILABAD: In a bid to improve SSC pass rates and rankings, officials led by ITDA Utnoor project officer Khushboo Gupta have launched a series of measures across tribal and social welfare schools in the formerly unified Adilabad district. Collectors from Asifabad, Nirmal, Adilabad, and Mancherial are coordinating these efforts.

Gupta has been conducting on-site inspections of tribal ashram schools, overseeing slip tests, subject revisions, and supervision classes. During a recent visit to Panapatar village in Jainoor mandal, she found a mathematics teacher failing to adequately explain a lesson and directed officials to take action. She also looked into allegations of mass copying on a recent math slip test.

The education department has organised motivational training sessions for SSC students, emphasising mathematics, science, and English. Asifabad collector Venkatesh Dhotre urged students to study strategically, noting that SSC marks form the foundation of their future. He also advised parents to keep children focused by limiting phone use, TV time, and involvement in outside activities.

Meanwhile, collectors Abhilasha Abhinav (Nirmal), Rajarshi Shaw (Adilabad), and Kumar Deepak (Mancherial) are conducting school inspections and encouraging both students and teachers to aim for higher pass rates in the SSC exams, set to begin on March 21.
