Jeevan Reddy, who lost the LS poll contest to BJP’s D. Arvind in Nizamabad, said that Congress was committed to fulfilling its LS poll promises in the Nizamabad constituency. As assured by Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy, Nizam Sugar Factory would be reopened soon as the state government constituted a committee to study its units in Nizamabad, Jagtial, and Medak districts, he said. “We will bring pressure on the NDA government to sanction the Smart City project for Nizamabad Municipal Corporation,” he said, promising the setting up of the government engineering college in Nizamabad soon.
