Jeevan Reddy Slams Korutla MLA’s Padayatra

Karimnagar: The development in Jagtial under the Congress government in united Andhra Pradesh set a benchmark for the entire state. However, BRS leaders, without sufficient knowledge, are making baseless comments against the Congress, alleged government chief whip and Dharmapuri MLA Adluri Laxman Kumar on Wednesday.

Compared to the previous kharif season, the Congress government has made major strides in procuring food grains. The government is now borrowing only to pay off interest on debts incurred by the BRS administration. Before making remarks, BRS leaders should reflect on their own shortcomings, as the public is well aware of them.

It was the BRS government that initially decided to undertake the Musi river cleanup. Recognising its importance, the Congress government has now taken up this project, ensuring justice for displaced residents, unlike during the BRS regime.

BRS chief K. Chandrasekhar Rao, after performing rituals at Dharmapuri, had promised to allocate Rs 500 crore for its development but ultimately betrayed the people, he alleged.

MLC T. Jeevan Reddy, speaking to the media at Indira Bhavan in Jagtial district, criticised the padayatra undertaken by Korutla BRS MLA Sanjay Kumar, alleging that BRS leaders initiated the walk to provoke the public.

The Congress has always prioritised the welfare of the people. After forming the government, it waived Rs 18,000 crore in farm loans for farmers.

Approximately 65,000 families benefited from the loan waiver. Due to technical issues, some farmers did not receive the waiver. The matter has been brought to the attention of Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy, who has assured a prompt resolution.
