JNTUH Lists Upgradation Plans

Hyderabad: Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University Hyderabad (JNTUH) launched the calendar for its joint action committee on Tuesday. Major projects include online classes by experts in remote locations, framing new syllabus and 100 per cent Wi-Fi connectivity across all campuses.

Speaking at his chamber, in-charge Vice Chancellor Prof. Balakista Reddy said the administration was prioritising paperless technology and had already organising bi-monthly campus cleaning drives.

"Sports, cultural programmes, and initiatives under NSS (National Service Scheme) and NCC (National Cadet Corps) are also being strengthened to provide students with opportunities for overall development. Students should bring problems to the administration’s notice for swift action," Prof. Balakista Reddy said.

Online classes will be introduced for students in remote engineering colleges in Sultanpur, Jagtial, Wanaparthy, Sircilla, Mahbubabad, and Paleru. These will include lectures from top academics from renowned institutions, the VC said.

Prof. Balakista Reddy added that advanced equipment for laboratories, projectors in classrooms and more drinking water facilities are also part of plans.

"The academic framework is also undergoing significant reform, with plans for revised syllabus, faculty performance assessments, and better workload distribution," he said.
