Hyderabad: The Kaloji Narayana Rao University of Health Sciences on Friday said it would finalise the merit list under the convener quota and management quota as per the GO Ms 33 and Telangana High Court directions with regard to local category.
In a rejoinder to the report ‘Merit list non-locals made locals for management seats’ published on these columns on August 27, the university said the list of candidates for both categories were only provisional and the final list would be displayed after verification of education certificates. The local status reflected on the lists that are available on its website was as per the data uploaded by the candidates.
DC Correspondent replies:
We stand by our report. The university followed a method while determining the local status for convener quota and the programming was done in such a way that the system itself generated the local status.
For the management quota, the university changed the program and left it to students to pick their local status.
The rejoinder is totally silent on the discrepancy which even the High Court has recorded.
