Kamalapur Tahsildar held in graft case
Hyderabad: Telangana Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) here on Monday afternoon caught Hanmakonda Kamalapur mandal Tahsildar and Joint Sub-Registrar Palakurthy Madhavi for allegedly accepting a bribe of Rs.5,000 from a complainant through Dharani Operator Rakesh.
The bribe was reportedly demanded from the complainant Kasiraboina Gopal, a farmer, who is a resident of Kamalapur mandal, to process the registration of three acres and two guntas of land gifted to the complainant by his father. The ACB officials said both Madhavi and Rakesh performed their duties improperly and dishonestly to obtain undue advantage.
They produced Madhavi and Rakesh before the special court for ACB cases in Warangal after which the court remanded them to judicial custody.
