Kanagal Police Crack Sensational Murder

Nalgonda: Falling prey to the allurement of a gang, a man went bankrupt and committed a murder to overcome his financial crisis, police said on Saturday. The Kanagal police arrested seven people who allegedly killed Samudrala Krishna, 51, of Yadagirigutta and threw his body under a bridge.

The accused were identified as Nagabandi Madhu, 54, Khamma Srinivasa Rao, 57, Yella Krishna Chaithanya, 26, Saladai Manikanta, 28, Adapa Hari Krishna, 29, Md Usman, 26, and Sheik Basha, 42.

Police superintendent Chandana Deepthi said Madhu and the victim Krishna were related and were into a real estate business. Krishna took Rs 1.5 crore from Madhu for being a middleman with a Bengaluru-based gang that was selling bowls to be used in the ‘rice pulling’ scam.

When Madhu did not receive the bowls after two months, he asked Krishna but failed to get the money back. Madhu took the help of another five persons and forced Krishna to swallow cyanide in his house at Yadagirigutta. They also looted gold ornaments worth Rs 3 lakh from the victim.
