Kapra revenue inspector Ramesh was attacked by the residents when he visited government land in Survey No. 645 and 646 at Devender Nagar and Jawahar Nagar municipality limits to inspect the encroachment of the government lands. Three structures were constructed encroaching the land.
On information about the assault, the staff of the Medchal-Malkajgiri district collectorate staged a protest demanding protection to government staff while performing duties.
Terming it a heinous act, they demanded immediate action against the guilty and wanted the authorities and police to ensure that such incidents are not repeated.
TGTA state president Ramulu, general secretary Phool Singh, Paka Ramesh, TGRSA president Ram Reddy, general secretary Biksham, TGTA Medchal-Malkajgiri district president Rajesh were among those who registered their protest.
