Karimnagar: Some 70 students at the Sri Chaitanya Residential Junior College opposite to Mission Hospital here were affected by food poisoning on Sunday.
They had lunch with sambar, and later experienced loose motion and vomiting. The college management shifted some students to private hospitals in the city.
Leaders of some student unions reached the college and staged a dharna. They alleged that the students were served stale food. Even after collecting lakhs as fees, the management of the college was not providing hygienic and balanced diet to the students, they alleged.
