Kaynes Technology assures to work in Telangana
Hyderabad: Semiconductor maker Kaynes Technology will inaugurate its advanced electronic unit at Kongarakalan on the outskirts of the city on August 23.
Kaynes CEO Raghu Panicker met Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy and IT, industries minister D. Sridhar Babu at the Secretariat on Monday and invited them for the inaugural ceremony.
He said the company is committed to continue its operations in Telangana and will also join as a partner in the development of the state.
The OSAT unit (Outsourced Semiconductor Assembly and Test), which is also being set up by Kaynes, is under consideration of Indian Semiconductor Mission (ISM). Panicker said the OSAT unit will start operations soon after the ISM's permission is received.
In March, a section of media reported that Kaynes had abandoned its plans to launch operations in Telangana and decided to relocate its manufacturing unit to Gujarat. However, the company officials denied any such plans during their meeting with the Chief Minister.( Source : Deccan Chronicle )
