KCR attempting to topple Cong. govt. with Modi’s help, alleges CM Revanth Reddy

New Delhi: Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy on Thursday accused the former Chief Minister and BRS president K Chandrasekhar Rao (KCR) of attempting to topple the Congress government in Telangana with the help of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Interacting with media persons, Revanth Reddy alleged that it was KCR who started the “culture” of poaching MLAs from other parties when the BRS was in power. “KCR said that the Congress government would topple in the State. What should we do for his comments?” he asked.

To defeat Congress, KCR transferred 20 per cent of BRS votes to the BJP to ensure its candidates victory during Lok Sabha elections. Since KCR was trying to topple the Congress government by falling on the feet of Modi, he should rub his nose at the Telangana Martyrs Memorial at Gun Park.

Responding to the resentment expressed by Congress MLC T Jeevan Reddy over welcoming BRS MLC M Sanjay Kumar into the party, he said the BRS MLA joined the party after getting attracted to the implementation of six guarantees coupled with waiving off farmers loans initiative.

Revanth Reddy admitted that there was some confusion over Jeevan Reddy's issue and keeping in view the experience of Jeevan Reddy, the party would accord priority to him and give due respect to him. “We will ensure that the sentiments of the party leaders and activists will not hurt at any cost,” he said.

Stating that the law and order was being maintained effectively in the State, the Chief Minister said, “We are successfully running the administration.” He said the State government was conducting all the exams properly. On the rumours related to expansion of Cabinet following his visit to New Delhi, Revanth Reddy said, “There is no vacancy in any portfolio.”
