KCR neglected Mahbubnagar and stayed silent on Krishna waters loot: CM Revanth
Reddy also pointed out the incomplete irrigation projects in the district

Mahbubnagar: Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy criticised former chief minister K. Chandrashekar Rao, accusing him of neglecting Mahbubnagar district and remaining silent when Krishna water was diverted to Rayalaseema. Speaking at a public meeting in Narayanpet, Revanth highlighted the unfulfilled promises and incomplete projects in the region during the BRS regime.
Reddy questioned KCR’s silence when former Andhra Pradesh chief ministers Y.S. Rajasekhar Reddy and Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy diverted Krishna water to Rayalaseema through the Pothireddypadu head regulator. “Why did KCR remain silent when our water was diverted?” he asked.
Highlighting the lack of development in Palamuru, the Chief Minister alleged that the KCR family deliberately blocked projects and industries in the district. “Don’t you want projects and industries for the Palamuru district?” he asked the crowd, urging them not to obstruct land acquisition based on false claims made by “cheaters.”
Reddy also pointed out the incomplete irrigation projects in the district. “Why were the Bheema, Nettempadu, Koilsagar, Sangambandam, and Kalwakurthy projects left incomplete after 10 years?” he asked. He further accused KCR of sidelining the Makthal-Narayanpet-Kodangal projects due to political rivalry with him.
Taking a jab at Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Reddy questioned, “After being elected three times, did Modi deposit black money into poor people’s accounts as promised?” He also criticised the BRS government for failing to sanction houses for poor people in rural Telangana during its decade-long rule.
Concluding his speech, Revanth took pride in being the first leader from Palamuru to become the Chief Minister of Telangana after seven decades. He vowed to accelerate the district’s development and ensure that pending irrigation and infrastructure projects are completed.
