Girl Tops Eapcet’s Engineering Stream
As many as 1,97,241 students appeared for the exams in the engineering category and 84,954 in the agriculture and pharmacy categories

Hyderabad: M. Rushi of Medchal and Mukkaram Ahmed of Hyderabad secured first rank in engineering and agriculture and pharmacy streams, respectively, in the Telangana Eapcet 2026 results released on Sunday. Rushi is believed to be the first woman topper of the engineering stream in Telangana; in 2022, Nakka Sai Deepthika had come second.
Among the top 10 rankers in the engineering stream was another girl, Mallavarapu Aasna at sixth rank. Aasna was the female topper in JEE Main 2026.
Other top engineering toppers include Bejugama Anshul, (Rank 2), Adula Sai Nikith (Rank 5), Vivan Sharad Mahishwari (Rank 7), a JEE Main topper, Telluri Shreyas Reddy (Rank 8), Bommireddy Sameeraj Reddy(Rank 9) and Rapolu Jayanth (Rank 10).
Two Andhra Pradesh students — Maraka Vamsidhar from Pulivendula in Kadapa district and J. Roshan Manideep Reddy from Tadepalle, Guntur — got third and fourth ranks in engineering streams.
In the agriculture and pharmacy stream, Mukkaram Ahmed secured the first rank with a score 150.1/160, and Tadur Nivrutt Sai Venkat secured the second. Three girls featured in the top ten rankers list — Sahiti Geetika Gunithi (Rank 3), Nathan Sheba Jerusha (AP, Rank 6), and Rutambika Mohanty (Rank 10).
The other top rankers are Mayuk Jayasimha (Rank 4), Amair Anas (Rank 5), Periketi Anurag (AP, Rank 7), Bura Sai Sharan (Rank 8), and Mirthipati Maruthi Satya Sai (AP, Rank 9).
A total of 2,10,766 registered for the engineering stream. Of this, 1,97,242 appeared and 1,44,704 (73.34 per cent) qualified. Similarly, 90,977 students applied for agriculture and pharmacy. Of this, 84,954 appeared and 73,294 (86.27 per cent) qualified.
In the gender-wise report in the engineering stream, 90,670 girls registered. Of which 84,495 attended and 62,291 qualified recording a percentage of 73.72 per cent. Of these, two girls were in the top 10 list. A total of 1,20,096 boys registered, 1,12,747 attended and 82,413 qualified, recording 73.10 per cent.
In the agriculture and pharmacy stream, 69,349 girls registered, 64,913 attended and 56,320 qualified with a qualifying percentage of 86.76. Three were in the top 10. As many 21,627 boys registered, 20,040 attended and 16,973 qualified with 84.70 percent, one transgender student also appeared for the exam and qualified.
Government adviser Dr K. Keshava Rao, along with TGCHE chairman Prof. V. Balakista Reddy, education department secretary Dr Yogita Rana, commissioner of technical and collegiate education A. Devasena, JNTU Hyderabad Vice Chancellor Prof.T. Kishen Kumar Reddy, and Eapcet convener Prof .K. Vijaya Kumar Reddy released the results.
Officials said the admission schedule for UG engineering courses will be released in a week. They also said that JNTU-H had conducted the examination smoothly and error-free. No objections were received for the A&P stream preliminary, while 16 objections were received for the engineering stream, compared to thousands of objections in previous years, they added. All the objections were rejected.
