Hyderabad: Afia Begum, wife of the late Dr Mazeruddin Ali Khan, has accused King's Group owner Shanawaz Khan, his sons Nazir Ali Khan and Zubair Ali Khan, and her son Adil Ali Khan of trespassing and trying to encroach on her 11-acre farmhouse in Gandipet.
In a video that went viral on Friday Afia Begum stated that she was not being allowed to enter the farmhouse by Shanawaz Khan, who reportedly posted bouncers at the gates.
She stated that she had to seek protection from the Narsingi police station house officer (SHO) Hari Krishna Reddy despite the property being registered on her name.
There are allegations that Kings Group owner Shanawaz Khan has encroached on the Ruk-Ud-Doula lake land and other properties on the city outskirts along with a top businessman-cum-investor who faces criminal cases.
Afia Begum’s husband Dr Mazeruddin Ali had died by suicide at his house in MLA Colony, Banjara Hills in February 27, 2023. Dr Mazeruddin Ali Khan was a cousin of Zahid Ali Khan, Editor of The Siasat Daily.
Adil Ali Khan is married to Yasmeen Owaisi, the daughter of AIMIM president Asaduddin Owaisi.
